I’ve felt I was meant to be a photographer my whole life, but it really hit me when I started to shoot with my dad’s canon A1. As I grew older I started to understand the concepts of photography more and more. I would yearn for great moments to come my way so I could show the world the way I thought. I poured a lot of emotion into my work, and I hope that just as much emotion can be seen though my photographs. Most of my early photographs were incongruous and abnormal. As I started to get a little better at photography my photographs became much easier to understand. It’s not that I don’t like them that way, I just feel as though my style was more conservative compared to what it is today. In my work I want there to be a lot more than just one story or one thing going on in the image and I want others to be able to see this too. I want my photographs to tell stories of places and the lives of the people who live within them. I don’t want my images to just be something I shot; I want them to show the truth of the world and to be something that others can relate to.
